Gris Meyer Epsom gives this Kelly 28 a fine, regular grain: Hermès produces that Epsom surface by machine embossing. The single handle and strap-fastened flap follow the Kelly design developed from Robert Dumas’s 1930s ladies’ bag with straps. This Stamp B example measures 28 × 21 × 10 cm and includes a shoulder strap, lock, keys and clochette. A copy receipt, booklet and raincoat also accompany it.
